Job Summary

Dalton Maag is recruiting for a Senior Graphic Designer to join the marketing team at its studio in London. The ideal candidate will deliver creative, engaging, and high quality design output for use across Dalton Maag’s channels. This position will report to the Marketing Manager and will collaborate closely with the Creative Directors, Font Developers, and Account Managers.

Key responsibilities

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for:

  • Creating fresh, dynamic, and on-brand content to support marketing initiatives across channels including the website, organic and paid social, and print
  • Leading the design implementation of our website, working closely with the Software Development team
  • Interpreting and owning design briefs, from inception through to completion
  • Consistently applying our visual identity across all design outputs whilst helping shape and continuously improve our internal brand guidelines
  • Developing and refining visual collateral to support business needs, including client and prospect materials, internal presentations, and templates

Essential skills

  • Senior graphic designer with at least 5 years’ proven experience in a similar role at a design agency or in-house creative team
  • Proven experience in web design with strong understanding of UI/UX
  • Proven experience in branding and implementation with an excellent understanding of the requirements and latest technical standards of visual communication across different media
  • Strong motion graphics and animation skills
  • Advanced skills in common software environments including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects), Figma, Sketch, and MS Office
  • Must have grounded knowledge of typography and type
  • Experience mentoring and advising junior designers
  • High level of commercial awareness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail, accuracy and consistency
  • Highly organised with an ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently across multiple projects
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and to collaborate as part of a team
  • Creative and highly motivated self-starter with a positive and flexible approach
  • Degree in Graphic Design or related field

Desirable skills

  • Experience in photography and retouching
  • Video shooting, editing, and production skills

Salary

From £41,000 to £48,000 depending on experience.
