Job Description

🌸

We're looking for an experienced designer who brings digital systems to life, shaping complexity and the invisible into seamless, human-centred product journeys.

Your role

  • You are a versatile designer with a deepening specialism in UI/UX, applying your craft with confidence and impact.
  • You are able to manage design projects of increasing complexity and scale, from concept to launch.
  • You present complex design ideas with clarity and bring others along in the mission at hand.
  • You identify user needs, opportunities, and risks early on, and embrace feedback with openness.
  • Your foresight helps you thrive in ambiguity and unlock new opportunities for users and the business.
  • Your relentless energy and passion for creativity drive successful product experiences at speed.
  • You contribute positively to our studio culture by co-creating rituals and processes that reflect shared values.
  • You give time and presence to your peers, supporting collaboration and helping others overcome obstacles.
  • You expand learning beyond your field, connecting design with technology, strategy, and culture.
  • You choose the right course of action and follow it with focus, rigour, and resilience.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in product design, ideally within creative studios or scaling start-ups.
  • Proficiency in Figma (wireframing, prototyping, design systems)
  • A strong understanding of UI design principles, UX best practices, and how to work collaboratively with engineers to solve complex problems.
  • Experience creating responsive, cross-platform designs for web and mobile applications.
  • Ability to create and maintain design systems and component libraries.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work — from research, discovery, and wireframes, to polished UI and shipped products.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present ideas clearly to clients and team members.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative environments with cross-functional teams (designers, developers, strategists).

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of development basics to collaborate effectively with engineers.
  • Experience using tools such as Framer or Webflow
  • A proficiency in other design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).

Our responsibilities

  • We support your personal & career development with regular access to your manager, coaching & mentorship.
  • We champion & reward performance with a comprehensive career progression framework, and quarterly performance bonus of 2% of your annual salary.
  • You’ll have 25 days of paid annual leave, plus any bank holidays.
  • You can work from anywhere in the world, for up to 14 days a year.
  • We are studio-first, but offer a WFH policy for quiet focus days, going to the gym, and everything in-between.
  • We have flexible working hours, with core hours between 10am-4pm Monday through Friday.
  • We’ll provide a £1,000 learning budget each year to explore & develop your next skills.
  • We host regular team socials outside the office, from lunches and after-work drinks, to creative outings and seasonal celebrations.
  • We reward commitment — at five years in the company you receive £2,500 + 5 paid days off, and at ten years you receive £5,000 + 4 paid weeks off.
