The Role
Experience: 3+ Years in a creative agency or studio
Location: Farringdon, London (3 days office, 2 remote)
We are looking for a creative, confident and enthusiastic designer to join our growing team and help shape the future of the design team at Atomic. You will work as part of a small, but evolving team to deliver design and artwork across a variety of clients and briefs.
These projects range from advertising, social media campaigns and branding across all channels for a wide range of well-known brands in addition to new business opportunities.
Reporting into the Head of Design, the ideal candidate will have an excellent foundation in design skills, be hungry to make their mark and love bringing ideas to life in a team that values creativity, collaboration and a bit of fun along the way.
You will be an integral part of shaping where our design team goes next.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be trusted to take leadership on certain projects with the ongoing support of your team.
- Work alongside designers, creatives and producers to create exciting and on-brand work.
- Interpreting briefs & providing viewpoints and input throughout the design and production processes.
- Excellent attention to detail across all design and artwork.
- Work under the guidance of the Head of Design to make sure all of our work has strong brand affinity across both Atomic and Client projects.
- Research and share new design trends with the team.
- Provide design support for the New Business, Marketing and PR team including across Atomic’s social channels.
- Be experienced and comfortable presenting work internally.
- Ability to work across all current and future clients, sectors and industries.
- Participate and help promote our DE&I and Environmental actions.
Skills & Experience:
- A solid folio of design and artwork across a variety of media.
- A positive and proactive attitude.
- Ability to create well-designed work and content aligned to a brief.
- Technically trained and fluent in Google Apps and Adobe Creative suite - especially Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to question briefs, solve problems creatively, and bring smart, thoughtful ideas to every project.
- A great understanding of typography, layout and design principles.
- Experience with AI tools is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to take instruction and feedback and adapt where necessary.
- Confidence in mid-level retouching, image generation and/or manipulation.
- A good knowledge of social media platforms and visual trends.
- A keen interest in new technology, proactively seeking opportunities to improve.
