Our mission in ITV Marketing is to make ITV the most talked about and most watched brand in the UK. ITV Experiences are an in-house team responsible for bringing the ITV brand to life for internal and external audiences.

We have a unique and wide remit, delivering events for ITV colleagues, B2B events for clients and advertisers, B2C events for brand partners as well as activations for our Press and Marketing teams. The team is based within the Media and Entertainment Division in Group Marketing, but leads projects across ITV.

This role entails…

The Project Manager will be an ambassador for ITV Experiences developing, planning, managing and delivering industry leading experiences. They will work closely with ITV stakeholders, external partners and with the wider Experiences team to build relationships, deliver to objectives and take our activity to the next level.

Key responsibilities:

  • Brief creation, objective setting, success criteria and agreement of deliverables
  • Research, development and presentation of event proposals to internal stakeholders
  • Manage allocated event budget and supplier payments
  • Set and manage project timelines and priorities
  • Develop event content and format in partnership with ITV stakeholders
  • Incorporate digital thinking and the use of virtual event tech and streaming platforms
  • Develop event creative look and feel in partnership with marketing/comms teams
  • Overall guest list and invite mechanic management (Dot Mailer etc)
  • Manage relationships with key event providers and external suppliers including venues, caterers, speakers, entertainment, and production agencies
  • Brief speakers and talent pre-event and on site
  • Full event management responsibilities from venue sourcing, speaker and talent sourcing, content management, travel & hotel booking and all event logistics
  • Sourcing of event giveaways and merchandise
  • Manage internal suppliers for events onsite at ITV including AV, security, hospitality, building services etc
  • Compile all onsite documentation including schedules, team onsite roles & responsibilities, call sheets and manage on site events team briefings
  • Post event evaluation, results reporting, event debrief and budget reconciliation

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Minimum role criteria:

  • Extensive experience delivering a diverse portfolio of experiences, including virtual and hybrid events
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
  • Track record of outstanding event production management with good production expertise relating to design, build, AV, lighting etc
  • Experience managing event health & safety, risk assessments and contracting
  • Solid budget management experience
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior decision makers

The Key role criteria is as follows:

  • Ideally experience in a large corporate in-house and/or from an events agency. Broadcast/media experience an advantage.
  • Confident working independently to manage a project (with the support of a Senior Project Manager), and comfortable working collaboratively as part of a wider project team for large scale events.
  • Highly organised and motivated with first class project management skills.
  • A flexible, agile approach. Able to adapt and respond to changing event requirements and deliverables
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills. Comfortable working across multiple projects simultaneously and to tight deadlines
  • Resourcefulness. Works within budget limitations to looks for new ways to achieve objectives and elevate experiences
  • Flawless attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for doing things differently and finding new ways to creatively bring the ITV brand to life
  • A proactive, solution driven approach with the ability to pre-empt potential risks and challenges and find appropriate solutions.
  • A confident communicator, able to influence and steer project stakeholders, manage ITV talent and VIPs and be an ambassador for the team
  • Ability to build good working relationships with internal stakeholders, adapting to stakeholder styles and maintaining an open and flexible approach
  • Above all a passion for events, a positive mindset and a can-do attitude
