Comedic Skit Writer

Responsibilities:

• Create original, funny, and engaging skits for social media
• Collaborate with the production team to develop concepts, and storylines that entertain and captivate audiences
• Revise, edit, and refine scripts based on feedback from producers, directors, and peers
• Stay current on popular culture, trending topics, and social issues to ensure content is relevant and timely
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for new sketches and comedic bits
• Work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a comedy writer, with a portfolio of work that demonstrates originality, humor, and versatility
• Excellent command of the English language, including a sharp sense of humor, wit, and timing
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and receive constructive feedback
• Strong storytelling skills, with a knack for creating memorable characters and dialogues
• Familiarity with scriptwriting formats and the production process of comedic content
• A bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, Film, Theater, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and adapt to changes in project timelines
