What You'll Do

  • Contribute to a friendly, collaborative culture ****and be an advocate for positive progression that brings out the best in both client relationships and ourselves.
  • Bring design to the forefront of team-wide decision making.
  • Create and maintain design systems that are functional, modular, and accessible for both creators and partners.
  • Demonstrate ideas through prototypes, interaction, animation and front-end development using low/no-code tools.
  • Partner with developers to ensure high-quality and consistent follow-through.
  • Drive the design vision, champion our brand, and collaborate on our product strategy.
  • Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure cohesive brand experiences across multiple projects and offerings.
  • Drive amazing work at all stages of the design process. Encourage and enable work that is creatively inspired, innovative, and meets our client partner's needs and impact goals.
  • Establish and improve design processes that propel projects from first-contact to delivery.
  • Challenge the conventions of digital experiences to deliver new ways of interaction and subsequent impact for people, planet and profit.
  • Work within a highly collaborative team that is open to different ideas, approaches, and perspectives. Confidence in failing, learning and iterating is key to progress and better work.

What You'll Need

  • Great work! We care less about your CV and more about the level/quality of your design work and thinking. Examples of apps, websites, and design systems with a strong combination of impact-driven digital design is what we're after.
  • Some experience working on digital products across multiple platforms.
  • Front-end development knowledge, working with low/no-code tools such as Webflow, and an understanding on how systems can be built for scalability and long-term sustainability.
  • A strong sense of empathy for the client partners, consumers, and a knack for need-finding.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and effectiveness in situations with sometimes limited information.
  • A love for building impact-driven solutions and communicating it to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • Proficiency using software to build prototypes (Figma) and bonus points for experience in Framer/Principle and After Effects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly explain design decisions.
  • An active, curious mindset that continually pushes convention to set new standards.

What Would be Nice

  • Experience working within humane design principles. Not mandatory, as we can teach this through our process.
  • You're an organised individual. We pride ourselves in creating lean, simple frameworks and design systems that are organised and easy to jump into.
  • You believe design holds a high responsibility in solving a complex challenge that is personal to you.

Benefits & Perks

  • 100% Distributed - our team works remotely and flexibly, but you will have to be available to collaborate on UK timezone–friendly hours.
  • Unlimited paid holiday! Take whatever time you need (within reason of course).
  • Competitive Salary.
  • Complete Autonomy - you can choose when, where, and how to work. All we ask is that you somewhat align this to project deadlines and meetings for effective collaboration. We typically recommend something like 10am-4pm, Monday-Thursday, to ensure a healthy work/life balance.
  • We're a growing business, and work with you to define your role and career. We actively look to understand what Driftime can do for you, and provide opportunities (and budget) for personal development.
  • Sustainable Pension Plan through Penfold.
