Founding Designer

Lost Property Studio is hiring a Founding Brand Designer to help shape the next phase of the studio. We’re looking for a highly conceptual, detail-oriented, and multidisciplinary designer to become a founding member of the team.

This is a hands-on role focused on shaping the studio’s creative output and future direction. You’ll help create new brands and reimagine existing ones, building identity systems that live across digital and physical touchpoints.

It’s not a traditional designer position — you’ll work across disciplines, grow your responsibilities over time, work directly with the founder and collaborate closely with clients.

The role is open to strong midweight designers ready to step up, or senior designers excited to help shape the studio’s output in its formative years.

As a Founding Designer, you will

• Lead brand identity projects end-to-end from concept to delivery
• Develop clear brand narratives and creative directions
• Design identity systems across digital and physical touchpoints
• Act as a day-to-day design contact for clients
• Present work clearly and confidently
• Manage multiple projects at once
• Maintain high craft and attention to detail
• Collaborate with freelance creatives when required
• Contribute to studio processes and ways of working
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging creative technologies
• Lead or initiate internal projects, experiments, and self-directed creative work

About you

• You are specialised in brand identity design
• You are highly conceptual
• You think in systems and narratives
• You have experience applying brands across digital and physical outputs
• You have a conceptual understanding of motion, web, AI, and/or 3D
• You are curious about other creative disciplines such as sound, physical product, and/or spatial design
• You communicate clearly with clients and collaborators
• You are positive, optimistic, and solutions-focused
• You are a natural collaborator who values feedback and diverse perspectives
• You are entrepreneurial in spirit — comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by building something from the ground up
• You are a challenger by nature, fearlessly push ideas further and never self-limit
