Digital Product Designer

At Friendly, we’re on a mission to do “agency design” differently. With a worldwide, fully remote team, we work on flexible schedules and treat each client product with the care and attention we would our own. We’re passionate about reducing stress for startup teams and improving the lives of our own people.

We love to build relationships with founders over the long term; acting as a design and product partner for as long as required. We uncover the hard problems, and collaborate to solve and deliver design solutions that meet the needs of our clients’ teams and business goals.

We’ve been steadily expanding our team to meet demand, and we’re now looking for a new product designer to help us facilitate our growing client list.

For this role, we’re looking for someone with the ability to consistently deliver usable design solutions as a key part of our friendly design team. If you’ve been directly dealing with clients in a freelance or in-house capacity, prioritising problems and product features, and delivering beautiful and usable digital products, we’d love to know.

Key Activities

• Meet with clients to uncover and empathise with core user challenges
• Develop wireframes and rapid prototypes to explore design solutions
• Design robust design systems and high-fidelity user interfaces
• Work closely with client engineering teams to ensure quality UX and UI implementation
• Maintain a deep understanding of current design trends, tools, paradigms and user experience flows across mobile and web platforms
• Manage multiple work streams and support other Friendly designers
• Ensure consistent delivery of high quality design work and professional client communication
• Contribute to internal team building with weekly design feedback
• Adopt best-practice design processes and file organisation

Requirements

• Experience designing complex web and mobile applications
• Ability to think about and communicate product strategy and vision
• Proactive and organised with an impeccable attention to detail
• Figma pro (detached instances permitted)
