Designer Parfums is a fast-growing company in the perfume and cosmetics industry, with a UK base and international ambitions. Brands we operate include GHOST, ARIANA GRANDE, JENNIFER LOPEZ, HAWAIIAN TROPIC, CERRUTI, PLAYBOY, GUY LAROCHE, PALOMA PICASSO, and other international brands.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE REQUIRES WORKING 4 DAYS FROM THE OFFICE AND 1 FROM HOME.
JOB PURPOSE
A senior creative designer at Designer Parfums is an excellent all-round creative person who is passionate about using their design skills and creative thinking for solving marketing and design challenges. We are looking for someone who is able flex their skills as and when required and can ideally dabble in everything from concept creation, web design, branding, illustration, animation, 3D design and most importantly print / packaging.
Your job will be to take our incredible brand portfolio and assist creatively. You will lead on creating original, highly creative design solutions across a broad range of creative projects and campaigns that create impact and conversation within the fragrance and beauty industry.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To lead on the design of end-to-end creative projects for a broad range of requests, such as Packaging, POSM, web and social assets. You will draw on insight and market research to understand audiences, generate ideas and create engaging visual communications that will engage and excite our target market.
- Represent the creative team for the generation and implementation of innovative and creative ideas for new and existing projects. Work alongside the in-house creative team to support and collaborate with the marketing teams and product development department.
- Set the standard and provide outstanding design work that not only meets but exceeds the brief, is on budget and delivered within strict deadlines.
- Liaise and support external suppliers such as printers, photographers and creative agencies when required, ensuring we receive the correct files in usable formats.
- Provide expertise and advice to the more junior members of the design team and the brand managers on all aspects of design.
- Part of the role will be to manage creative team, act as a mentor to more junior members support the Senior artworker with work allocation and quality checks. Have experience line managing or mentoring other creatives and can productively give feedback, hold one-to-ones, appraisals and manage conflict.
REQUIREMENTS
- Self-motivated and organised with meticulous attention to detail
- 8+ years agency experience and/or a Portfolio to match
- Be educated to degree level or an equivalent qualification in design and/or have an outstanding creative portfolio demonstrating experience across a range of creative disciplines
- Strong knowledge of Adobe software in particular Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Premier Pro and any 3D
- Excellent knowledge and experience with print/ packaging. Familiar with the full printing process and the use of finishes
- Experience in designing assets for the web and understanding of basic UX practice in web design
- Experience in 3D rendering is a plus
- Experience in animation and video is a big plus
