Illustrator/Designer

Pudgy Penguins, is seeking a talented and passionate Illustrator to join our team. As an Illustrator, you will play a crucial role in bringing our projects to life through visually captivating and engaging artwork. Key Responsibilities:

• Create original illustrations that align with project requirements, brand guidelines, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and develop visually appealing concepts and ideas.
• Develop sketches, storyboards, and rough drafts to communicate and refine artistic ideas.
• Utilize a variety of traditional and digital artistic techniques to produce high-quality illustrations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging techniques, and design best practices to continuously enhance artistic skills.
• Collaborate closely with designers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and ensure artwork meets their expectations.
• Provide creative input and contribute to brainstorming sessions and design critiques.
• Maintain organized files and documentation of projects, including version control and asset management.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining the quality and integrity of the artwork.
• Adapt illustrations to different mediums and formats, such as print, digital platforms, and merchandise.

Qualifications:

• A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of illustration styles and techniques.
• Proven experience as an Illustrator, either through previous employment or freelance work.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling principles.
• Excellent hand-drawing and sketching skills, with the ability to translate ideas into captivating illustrations.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision to meet project requirements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, take constructive feedback, and incorporate it into the work.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and concepts to clients and team members.
• Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• A degree in Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred but not required.
