Job Description
ABCD is seeking one or more Graphic Designers to join our existing team! We are a creative agency with bases in London and Riyadh working on high-impact, national, mass-participation campaigns in the sectors of conservation, fitness, mindset shift as well as fashion and lifestyle. Working with us will means your work is seen on a national and international level. We are working on fun and creative projects ranging from branding to events to campaigns. We are interviewing for mid-weight or senior positions.
Our clients include social entrepreneurs, government departments, charities, hotels, restaurants, fashion and food brands. For them we produce graphic solutions, branding, films, animations, photography and strategies that are realised in website front end design, adverts, social media content, email shots, brochures, lookbooks. We also produce books / films on culture and travel under our own imprint / for well-known publishers / broadcasters. As most of our work comes from the Middle East, this position would be benefitted by fluency in English and Arabic, including the ability to execute layouts and proof-reading in Arabic.
Candidates will ideally:
Use Adobe Creative Suite as standard
Fluent in Figma
Adept at After-effects (we like to make animated social media posts)
Arabic-speaker (our work is bilingual)
But if you can’t do these and are an aspiring graphic designer we’d love to meet you anyway :-)
Requirements
- Must be fluent / demonstrate experience in Adobe Creative Suite software (including Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects)
- Ability to produce art layouts by developing art concepts
- Some experience with Figma
- Ability to think creatively and consistently deliver high quality designs
- Will be comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to oversee production of projects from concept to production
Optional but would be helpful
- Fluent in Arabic, in terms of reading, writing and layouts
Duties
* Meets art department work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
* Formulates art concepts by supervising workers engaged in executing layout designs for art work and copy to be presented by visual communications media.
* Selects and secures illustrative material by formulating basic layout design concept; conducting research.
* Prepares layouts for printing by marking-up, pasting-up, and finishing layouts.
* Obtains client approval by presenting final layouts, story boards, and illustrations; responding to client commentary and requests.
* Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
* Enhances art department and organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
