About GoodLove

GoodLove is a London-based creative brand consultancy, working closely with tech founders to build brands worth believing in for companies that want to shape the future. From organisations driving diversity in tech to a banking service designed specifically for migrant workers; from lab-made dairy-free cheese to driving sustainability in bitcoin mining.

Founded just 3 years ago, we're already picking up awards and developing an enviable roster of scale-up clients who not only run exceptional businesses but are a pleasure to work with. With success comes the need to bring in more exceptional talent: and that’s where you come in.

The Role

We’re on the hunt for an ambitious midweight digital designer to play a significant part in the development of GoodLove’s interactive output. A proactive individual, who understands the power of brand, thinks strategically and is passionate about interactive design and technology.

You will play an integral role in shaping the digital presence of our clients' brands, ensuring a seamless bridge from strategy and creative through to beautifully executed digital products.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary role will be to focus on translating the brand stories and identities we create into engaging digital brand experiences.

In practise this means:

  • Produce user-centric wireframes and prototypes inline with UX best practices
  • Interpret and develop client briefs alongside the strategy and creative team
  • Working alongside the creative team to evolve visual identities into intuitive UI design systems
  • Exploring creatively to push beyond the obvious and develop innovative interactive designs
  • Supporting our strategy director to plan and host workshops to build a strategic understanding of the brief and requisite site content.
  • Presenting your work in a thoughtful and articulate manner and deliver presentations to clients.
  • Coordinate user testing sessions and identifying necessary design modifications
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure the end product meets our high standards

What we need to see

  • 2+ years’ work experience and a portfolio that demonstrates:
  • Clear information architecture and user-friendly content organisation
  • Ability to produce low to high-fidelity wireframes to visually communicate design concepts and layout ideas
  • Collaboration with developers to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of design elements
  • A crisp eye for typography, colour and layout
  • A Deep understanding of user-centred design principles and the ability to translate complex ideas into intuitive and visually appealing designs
  • The ability to think creatively and clearly
  • The creative ambition to get beyond the obvious answer
  • The ambition to be a great communicator of your work
  • The openness to seek constructive criticism
  • The drive to want to grow with the company

Weapons of choice

  • Pro Level - Figma
  • Competent - Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Nice to haves - After Effects / CSS & HTML

What you’ll get from us:

  • £35-45K/year DOE
  • Pension contributions
  • 25 days of annual holiday (plus Bank Holidays)
  • 2 duvet days/yr
  • The opportunity to work across a broad variety of exciting creative briefs
  • The creative freedom to explore and challenge yourself as a designer
  • Our commitment to helping you grow as a designer through regular reviews and coaching
  • A working environment/culture that:
  • is a relaxed and enjoyable place to come every day, whether that’s virtually or 3 days a week in our studio on Shoreditch High Street
  • values your opinions and encourages you to voice them
  • understands that you are a person not a machine
  • understands and respects that you have a life beyond your job, with core hours of 10.30am - 4.30pm and flexible work around that

Eligibility

Please ensure that you meet our eligibility criteria before applying.

  • You must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
  • You should be able to come into the office 3 days a week (we are based on Shoreditch High St, London)
  • You should be able to work from home the remaining day of the week
