CookChick are a small independent Brighton design agency with a passion for creating and defining character in brands. Since forming in 2005 we have employed a big-thinking team of intrepid creatives driven to craft compelling brand creations and packaging design solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and creative brand designer to join our award winning team.

We have an enviable range of clients from start ups to larger better known brands. This gives us the opportunity to work on a wide range of creative projects. Every solution to a brief we work on is treated in its own unique, individual way where its own voice, character & personality is realised. Attention to detail and craft is of upmost importance right through to the finished product.

Requirements:

1-4 years previous experience with branded graphics projects/packaging related briefs from conception to completion.

A well rounded designer with a portfolio of great ideas.

A curious nature, enthusiasm and a love for creativity.

A willingness to experiment, push the boundaries/conventions.

Someone with creative flair bringing your unique perspective and crafting skills.

Good knowledge of type and colour.

Passion and enthusiasm for design, a keen eye for detail.

Good communication and organisation skills.

Key responsibilities:

Ability to take an initial brief, understanding the DNA of a client, interpretation of a brief, leading to the creation of a range of concepts with compelling ideas.

Crafting ideas from concept through to final finished solutions.

Working in a team, collaborating with illustrators and copywriters when applicable.

Presenting concepts internally and in client facing meetings.
