Junior Graphic Designer

You will be responsible for designing customer wine lists and bringing them to life in print. Location: Full time office-based role, Hanworth, Middlesex, TW13 6JE

Salary: £27-30k dependent on experience

Your roles & responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Proficient use of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite to create new wine lists and manage changes to existing customer wine lists with a high attention to detail.
• Competent use in Adobe InDesign, with a good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, to assist in designing other promotional materials with support from the Graphic Designer & Senior Graphic Designer.
• Basic copy writing skills to write short tasting notes for wine lists
• Proofreading your work
• Perform basic tasks in Vintner to check vintages and product information (in-house training will be provided).
• Bring physical wine lists to life by printing and laminating to a high standard.
• Demonstrate an interest in wine, with a basic knowledge and willingness to learn more.
• Apply a good understanding of layouts, typefaces, and design principles to all projects.
• Ownership of the design process for our customer wine lists from initial concept to final printed wine lists.

Ideally you would:

• Have 1-2 years experience, but this is a great role to gain experience in the design industry, so would encourage graduates in Graphic Design to apply.
• Have a passion for all things design, layout, typography and print
• Have a good capability with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Indesign, Illustrator & Photoshop.
• Have a great attention to detail, good communication skills and good time management.
• Knowledge of paragraph and character styles in Indesign is desirable but not essential.
• Show an interest in wine and the hospitality industry.
• Have a willingness to learn and grow.
• Be self-sufficient, enthusiastic, and hard working.
• Be a team player.
• Be able to work well under pressure as this is a fast-paced roll.
