Design Director

I’m proud to be working with a globally recognised branding agency that are looking for a brilliant Design Director to join their leadership team in Melbourne, Australia. The studio focusses on brands within the luxury hospitality and hotels, property and real estate, arts and culture sectors.

They’re looking for a creative leader with strong design expertise, clear strategic thinking and an ability to elevate ideas. You’ll work closely with studio leadership and a highly talented design team, shaping creative direction while remaining hands on in delivering exceptional, culturally relevant work. The split between hands on design work and team leadership is roughly 70/30.

This role is perfect for you if you’re highly collaborative, confident in front of clients, and able to guide teams with clarity, care and high standards. You’ll lead projects from concept through to delivery, oversee multiple workstreams, direct creative output across brand, digital, print and experiential, and help nurture a studio culture, where intelligent progressive design can flourish.

The ideal candidate is someone from London or Europe who is looking to relocate to Melbourne, and someone who has experience working at agencies such as: Pentagram, Made Thought, Noe & Associates, Here Design etc.

The salary for this is up to $160k AUD.
