Product Designer

We are an app-based tech start-up looking to lower the risk of road accidents and the cost of car insurance for everyone. It’s what car insurance should always have been. We are looking for a very talented and inquisitive Product Designer, who can understand the customer experience, identify opportunities, and design solutions as part of a fast-moving product team. What you'll be doing

• You’ll work as part of a cross-functional product team to understand our customers, map the opportunity space, and design solutions that deliver value to our customers.
• Plan and help execute research and testing activities (both generative and evaluative)
• Collaboratively ideate and prototype new features
• Produce finished designs and work closely with the engineers in the team to deliver them
• Measure the success of your work, learning, and iterating on it

What we're looking for

• You have a product mindset – you are able to approach problems from many angles, and incorporate both qualitative and quantitative insights when solving them
• You put the user first – you are able to empathise with the customer, and you understand the impact your designs will have
• At least 3 years’ experience in product design. You have worked in internal product teams - cross-functional experience is a plus
• A strong communicator - you can explain and articulate the reasons for your decisions, and are comfortable giving and receiving feedback
• You are fluent in iOS and Android design - experience with design systems is a plus
• You consider copy & content design to be a key part of your solutions and understand the power of using the right words
• Owning or regularly using a car is a major plus
• Experience of living in the USA or being a native American English speaker is also a plus
