Job Description
We’re looking for a talented Midweight Motion Designer to join our creative team who's self-motivated, up for a challenge and keen to grow with us. Our projects range from animated branded assets and product explainer videos to content for websites, digital products, and apps. You’ll work with a diverse mix of clients — from ambitious startups to established corporate brands — bringing ideas to life with energy, craft, and imagination.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Ability to understand a brief and create fully developed creative ideas ready to pitch to clients. You will work across the full project lifecycle: from script development, concept ideation, and storyboarding through to production and delivery.
- Accurately estimate the complexity of a motion graphics project and deliver within the required timeline and budget.
- Confident in liaising with voiceover artists to create exciting storyboards and animatics which bring your ideas to life.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to bring projects to life
- Share inspiration, contribute ideas, and provide creative input throughout the process
- Manage your time effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on brief and schedule
Essential skills and experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience in an agency or freelance.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects (essential), Premier Pro. Confident using plug-ins and sharing best practices with junior members of the team.
- Good knowledge of pace and timing
- Passion for storytelling and crafting memorable motion pieces
- An interest in digital design, including websites, product design, and apps.
- Strong awareness of project timelines and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Frame.io and Lottie.
- Bonus experience: Knowledge of Blender or other 3D tools, SFX, sound design

- First interview: 20-minute call with the Studio founder/CEO to discuss why you think you’d be suitable for the role, your experience & qualifications.
- Second interview: 45-minute interview with design directors to understand your experience and approach
- Paid design task: If the match looks good, we’ll invite you for a paid interview task to show us what you can do with up to 3 members of the team (spanning a range of roles).
- Final interview: In-person presentation of interview task and meeting the wider team in person
