About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic and commercially-minded Account Director to lead client relationships, drive team development, and grow revenue across a portfolio of creative agencies. This is a senior role at The Future Factory, part of The Ingenuity Group, where you’ll be at the forefront of helping agencies win new business and evolve their growth strategies.
You’ll report into the Commercial Director of The Ingenuity Group and work closely with Future Factory agency Directors, mentor Client Growth Managers and Account Managers (Sales teams), and deliver client servicing, consultancy and training that makes a real impact. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work with your team to retain a portfolio of 10+ agency clients, ensuring long-term success and satisfaction.
- Coach and develop a team of Client Growth Managers and Account Managers, guiding strategic delivery, client retention best practices and implement processes/training that upskill team performance.
- Lead Generation Expert: Understand what strategy would be best suited to your agency clients to generate sales leads and inspire your teams to deliver results.
- Understand, challenge and consult with agency clients on their value propositions, ICPs (sectors, brands, titles, criteria for selecting prospects), case studies and content to help deliver growth for our clients.
- Deliver consultancy workshops and training sessions to help agencies improve their new business approach
- Build strong relationships with agency leadership, offering strategic advice and commercial insight.
- Identify upsell opportunities across The Ingenuity Group and evolve service offerings based on client needs
- Own the commercial success of your business unit, including revenue growth, team structure, and client retention.
Who We’re Looking For
- 4+ years’ experience in client services, account management, or agency growth
- Proven success in turning around underperforming accounts and retaining clients
- Brand & Industry Expertise: Broad knowledge of industry sectors and brand behaviour across various verticals
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Commercial acumen with a track record of revenue growth
- A proactive mindset and passion for agency life
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams
