Job Description

We are looking for a Studio/Project Manager to join our small team at Boyle & Perks. Working closely with the team, you will be responsible for running the studio smoothly. This will include managing projects, creative production, creating and overseeing schedules and discussing strategy. The role is primarily administrative. Although you will not be required to oversee design projects, a good awareness of the field and a working knowledge of design tools such as the Adobe Suite would represent an advantage.

Salary & Position

Part time – 22.5 hours per week – there is flexibility in the hours and days of work. Based in-person at the Boyle & Perks studio in Brighton. This is a freelance position. Salary based on a daily rate to be discussed with the applicant and dependent upon experience.

About the Role

– Administrative support on projects.

– Maintain client job list, schedules and shared calendars.

– Prepare estimates, contracts, project schedules and invoices

using InDesign / Google suite

– Communicate with clients, manage expectations and solve issues

– Manage external suppliers such as printers and developers

– Maintain internal systems and set up new projects.

– Order office supplies, and assist with office administration

ensuring the day-to-day business operations are running smoothly

– Assist Directors with new business correspondence,

administration of CRM sytem (hubspot) and drafting proposals.

– Production management of projects where appropriate,

for example assisting on location with shoots

– Support the team with social media updates, including

copy-editing texts and drafting social media captions.

– Assist with organising cultural aspects of the studio, such

as team lunches, gallery visits etc.

Your Experience and Skills

– Interest in visual communication, graphic design and branding.

– Enjoy working collaboratively

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

– Effective organisational and time management skills.

– Self-motivated, proactive and solutions focused, taking a detail

oriented approach to problem-solving.

– Mac OS literate and high proficiency in Google Workspace

and MS Office.

– Educated to degree level and/or equivalent working experience

(ideally 1–2 years’ in a studio environment).

– Knowledge of design, web, print and production processes

(beneficial).

– Basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Project management skills,

inc. creating Gantt charts (required) and CRM tracking software,

Hubspot (beneficial).
