Job Title: Creative Director at Enviral

Location: Bristol, minimum 2 days per week in our Bristol-based office

Salary: Competitive +benefits, based on experience

Working Week: Full-time, Monday to Friday

About Enviral: We’re a Bristol-based communications agency here to Stop Global Yawning! Working with brands who want to drive both their mission and margin, we collaborate within B2B, B2C, and the charity space to provide credible, consistent and creative storytelling through strategy and creativity.

The role:

As Creative Director you’ll be an ideas powerhouse and inspirational agency leader, using your creative skills to push our team and our clients to bring impactful communications into the world. Ideally with an Art Director/Design Director background, you’ll oversee the work from our creative department, being responsible for driving creative excellence, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, impactful campaigns that align with Enviral’s mission and values.

Creative Leadership:

  • Ensure work for Enviral and our clients is ‘Credible’ ‘Consistent 'and ‘Creative’ in line with our core beliefs and be accountable for all creative work from the agency.
  • Build impactful ideas that continuously push the boundaries of our mission to ‘stop global yawning.'
  • Be integral to our Drive Team, along with other senior team members, supporting the agency strategy to Make Money, Do Good, Be Happy.
  • Encourage an environment of creativity and kindness, inspiring the team and our clients to go that extra mile together.
  • Have a commercial mindset to balance work with pushing our sustainable business plan forward.
  • Work collaboratively with partners as well as nurturing strong relationships with our freelancers.
  • Attend networking and industry events to represent and showcase Enviral and our creativity.
  • Has experience in creating and aligning creative platforms to 360 campaigns, sharing portfolio experience of film, design, radio, TV, OOH, print, etc.

Creative ideation and creative process:

  • Work in collaboration with the Creative and Strategy team to oversee the development and execution of creative concepts for all projects that align with agreed strategic and executional briefs (and where appropriate) exceed client goals.
  • Pitch these ideas to a range of clients, taking them on a journey that excites them, builds trust and strong partnerships.
  • Work in briefs and pitches on the tools across multiple clients, sectors and projects with the same passion.

Operations:

  • Ensure the creative department follows the Enviral process to balance creative efficiency and quality – including briefing, approvals, timesheets and approvals.
  • Collaborate with the project management team and General Manager on resourcing to ensure the right creative talent is assigned to projects for our best work, being appreciative of the commercial balance.
  • Collaborate with the project managers and General Manager when freelance resources are required to ensure the right skills are supporting the creative team's output during periods of overcapacity.
  • Work with the General Manager and founder in the recruitment process ensuring we have the right balance of talent within the creative department.
  • In collaboration with the General Manager and Project Delivery leads, establish the creative process from costing, to brief to delivery.

People Management:

  • Provide clear direction and constructive feedback to the creative team to help better the work.
  • Be a mentor to the creative team; mentors play an active role in their career development.

Key skills:

  • Proven experience as a Creative Director in a communications agency.
  • Expert understanding of building communications for a variety of channels and formats.
  • Expertise in building campaigns from a strategic insight.
  • An acute eye for detail, ensuring all communications have a level of
  • consistency and are produced to the highest standard.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Drive.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, able to effectively
  • communicate conceptual ideas and respond to client feedback.
  • Proactive and spot opportunities to push creative ideas.
  • Work within tight deadlines.
  • Great at building relationships, with colleagues, partners and clients.
