The role:
You’ll spend much of your time supporting the studio’s creative work, contributing to narrative development, content strategy, copywriting and storytelling, and where appropriate, briefing in freelance copywriting support. You’ll work regularly with our PR function to guide the copy and tonality of external communications.
Reporting to our Head of Strategy, you’ll be part of the strategy team, but with a dotted line to PR, and working closely with all creative functions. This is a brand new position, so you’ll have a chance to help us shape it, and shape how we approach writing at Accept & Proceed.
What you’ll be working on:
Contributing to proposals and pitches
Writing scripts and storyboards
Brand writing for our partners (including brand strategy, tone of voice and messaging guides, narrative and communication strategies, taglines, editorial and boilerplates)
Working with the Head of Strategy on internal Tone of Voice guides and training
Writing content for, and content guidelines for, A&P social communications
Crafting case studies
Research and qualitative analysis
Desired experience and skills:
Minimum 5 years experience as a writer, ideally including brand writing
A proven ability to shape and communicate compelling narratives
A proven ability to adapt style and tone
Examples of both longform and short-form copy
Experience interviewing and insight gathering
Experience writing to serve many regions, and working with translators
Comfortable with vocabularies of social and climate justice
Strong presentation skills
Additional favourable skills:
Research and qualitative analysis
An understanding of sustainability and its cultural intersections
An understanding of the digital landscape and its evolving platforms, mediums and formats
Background working with designers
Agency experience
Your time:
We typically work from the Hackney Downs studio 3 days a week (the other days working wherever you like)
9-day fortnight (every-other-Friday off, for nurture or to explore)
31 days holiday, increasing with service
Time off at Christmas, your birthday, and 3 paid volunteer days per year
Normal hours 9:30am - 6:00pm BST (flexible working considered)
