Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing and Growth Strategist to join our branding agency. This senior role encompasses three key areas: driving the agency’s growth through strategic marketing and new business acquisition, developing and executing impactful marketing strategies for our clients, and providing strong leadership to our team. You will be instrumental in expanding our client base, nurturing existing relationships, and fostering a culture of excellence.
New Business Development
- Lead the identification, targeting, and securing of new business prospects aligned with our growth strategy.
- Conduct in-depth research to identify key companies, brands, and individuals for targeted outreach.
- Develop and refine our agency’s value proposition to attract and convert new prospects.
- Create and implement a comprehensive content and engagement strategy, collaborating with the team to produce and distribute compelling content.
- Manage incoming new business inquiries and cultivate prospect relationships in partnership with the Partners.
- Independently secure new business for projects up to £100k, and in collaboration with Partners above £100k.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of compelling new business pitches, emphasising strategic alignment and long-term partnerships.
- Deliver a Go-To-Market strategy that supports a £3m pipeline.
Account Management and Growth
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients.
- Gain a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, goals, and aspirations to inform strategic recommendations.
- Lead key client accounts from inception to completion, both locally and internationally.
- Actively participate in the account lifecycle, providing insights to enhance client relationships.
- Support team members in understanding client accounts and delivering value.
- Drive account growth by identifying and capitalising on new opportunities, aiming for a 15% year-over-year increase in existing accounts.
- Transition client relationships from project-based to retainer-based structures.
- Develop effective global marketing campaigns for clients.
- Lead project teams and manage accounts.
Leadership
- Ensure all team members build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in client problem-solving and communication.
- Develop and implement internal onboarding and training programs to enhance client service best practices.
- Champion excellence in client servicing, both internally and externally.
- Cultivate senior client relationships, becoming a trusted strategic advisor.
- Ensure clients recognise the value of our expertise and partnership.
- Identify and pursue client challenges and opportunities where our agency can provide strategic solutions.
- Contribute to the development and presentation of agency growth plans.
- Line manage a team of copywriters, nurturing their development.
- Conduct appraisals and ensure timely delivery of high quality work.
- Support the overall agency culture.
Role requirements:
At least 5 years of experience demonstrating the following;
- Working as a brand, marketing and/or communications strategist, or an equivalent role (e.g. consultant), with a deep understanding of how business objectives and marketing strategy are intrinsically linked.
- Delivering insightful and well-thought-through B2B and B2C brand, marketing and/or communication strategies and activation plans for clients.
- Managing client relationships at all levels, from juniors through to senior management.
- Collaborating with other individuals or team members to get to the right solution.
- A high standard of English language, written and spoken.
- A high standard of IT skills and Mac proficiency.
- The existing right to work in the United Kingdom as we are currently unable to sponsor work visas at this stage.
