We’re the UK’s leading premium publisher, and the people behind iconic media brands such as Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Country Living. We’ve created a working environment that encourages everyone to pull together. We never stop looking for brave new ideas. We’ll always try to develop and improve, we trust each other to do our best, and we have fun as we build on our heritage to make history.

The successful candidate will be joining Hearst’s fast-paced Creative Solutions Dept: Hearst Connect. The ideal candidate will be coming up with ideas for video in branded content partnerships, working within the pre-sales studio to drive branded content revenue through video and social formats. They’ll also be working closely with our editorial departments to drive sponsorship revenue and also supercharge creative brainstorms with engaging content ideas and suggestions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The commercial video lead will be directly responsible for coming up with new video ideas in response to briefs, and helping secure new revenue through development and implementation of video and moving image media.

The commercial video lead will oversee all video products pitched through the Connect team. They will also run and oversee the development of new video and social franchises with the help of the Commercial Content Director, keeping in constant contact with editorial teams to make sure we are maximising our revenue opportunities.

They will need to work closely with the following internal stakeholders:

  • Ad operations team

We’re looking for someone who understands and is excited about the industry, and wants to bring that knowledge to a creative and dynamic team.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for a great communicator who can work across lots of different departments in Hearst in an organised and efficient way. The ideal candidate will understand the unique value of each Hearst brand, and commercial video opportunities that Hearst holds. They’ll also be familiar with the video output of our existing Hearst titles. They’ll have a comprehensive industry knowledge, shoot experience, and the ability to maintain relationships with both internal stakeholders, clients and vendors. They’ll be commercially minded, with an eye on the industry, new executions, practices and formats particularly across social, VR, AR and beyond. The ability to edit or create short video assets for marketing purposes in-house useful but not essential.
