I’m sure you’ve seen it, DesignStudio is having a moment. A new brand, a new direction, new brave clients. It's an exciting time to be part of us, the energy of our work and team is like never before and we’re growing. Fancy being our new Radical Collaborator?

Our team are our superpower. We offer an amazing benefits package including fully hybrid working and our offsetters programme, giving everyone the studio an opportunity to work for 3 months in one of our global studios.

Spirit of the role

Designers are at the heart of DesignStudio. As a Senior Designer, you will be a key member of the team, supporting Design Directors and Creative Directors to shape design, guide teams and unlock the creative potential of projects.

We expect you to be the driver of a creative output of a project, a confident storyteller and an amazing designer.

You will require flexibility and a willingness to apply design-thinking across all stages of the creative process; research, strategy and expression.

We’re looking for someone who can

Lead the creative output of projects through every stage, supporting any design related tasks; from immersion, to strategy, to creative expression and implementation.

Manage and distribute work within the team, and oversee design work to ensure the creative brief is fully explored from concept to completion.

Generate exciting creative work with strong conceptual and strategic foundations.

Apply and coordinate design delivery across any touch-point supporting Design Directors and Creative directors to ensure that work gets delivered on time and to a high standard.

Effectively distil and communicate direction to the team after client feedback or after internal design reviews.

Pursue and maintain an exceptional level of craft with the highest design standard and an attention to detail.

Go on immersion trips with design teams to collect primary research for projects, wherever clients may be.

Who you are

Broad experience including formal training in design or relevant experience. Shows a love for design and shows an ability to execute amazing design work. Most likely you’ll have at least 5+ years of industry experience. Able to flex and be confident working within any industry, with any type of person, anywhere in the world.

Excellent varied portfolio with work that demonstrates concept-driven design and superbly crafted execution. Work should show versatility, experimentation, system-thinking and energy. Significant brand identity and digital project proof within the industry. Has worked on print and digital executions from start to finish.

People skills making you comfortable working as a team and confident to take part in interviews, workshops and interactions with clients. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to put an attractive and compelling presentation together.

A Broad tool-kit with a high level of skill in typical design programs is essential (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Sketch). Understanding of peripheral design processes (production, liaising and briefing suppliers). Experience in animation, coding and interaction design (2D animation software, 3D animation software, prototyping tools, coding languages) is a huge bonus!

At DesignStudio, we know first-hand, excellent work comes from bringing great people together, from diverse backgrounds, stories and communities. And as an inclusive employer we welcome applications from anyone who might feel underrepresented in our industry. If you need reasonable adjustments at any point in the application or interview process, please let us know. In your application, please feel free to note which pronouns you use.
