Pearson Lloyd are looking for a cultured and motivated furniture designer to join their London team at their new studio in Hoxton.

We are looking for a well skilled graduate or junior designer who has a furniture design, or furniture and product design degree or Masters. The role will encompass design development on a broad range of international furniture clients as well as opportunities to work on other projects and territories within the studio as you progress in your career.

A keen eye for detail and construction and an interest in the wider furniture market are a must, as well as a good historical understanding. An interest in new materials, processes and sustainable design should be demonstrated.

The studio is looking for a talented and passionate individual who ideally has experience on furniture design projects and can work well within a team structure.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A BA or MA in furniture or product design

• A cultural curiosity and passion and good design history knowledge

• Good 3D modelling skills using SolidWorks and Rhino

• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite.

• Good sketching skills

• Good making skills

• Excellent internal and external communication skills

• The ability to thrive in a busy environment and work well under pressure

• Fluent verbal and written English

• The legal right to work in the UK and travel in Europe and USA

Salary will be dependent on experience.
