Mid-Weight Designer

Permanent, Full-Time Contract

Mid-Level Role

Reporting to: Head of Editorial & Brand

The Modern House & Inigo is looking for a mid-weight graphic designer to work on all our visual brand projects across print and digital channels.

We are looking for a creative and knowledgeable person who is motivated by the opportunity to refine and develop the visual identity of both The Modern House and our new companion brand, Inigo.

The role will be part of the Editorial team but will work closely with all areas of the business to ensure internal and external touchpoints are consistent and considered.

The position will suit an enterprising designer who is looking to apply their skills to driving forward two brands with different challenges and possibilities.

Key responsibilities for the role will include:

 Design visual brand projects across both The Modern House & Inigo, including – but not limited to – digital branding, printed material, promotional assets, advertising campaigns and social

 Lay out TMH Magazine and actively suggest ways to hone the design. Liaise with print house to oversee printing (paper stock, colour correction etc.)

 Work with the Head of Editorial & Brand to audit all internal and external touchpoints (letters, templates, emails etc.) and actively identify areas of growth and opportunity

 Contribute to conversations around wider brand development from a visual perspective and act as brand guardian across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency and quality

 Produce visual reference decks for special projects and partnerships

 Work collaboratively with our external art directors on key visual brand projects, including TMH Magazine

 Design digital and print ads, email newsletters, printed collateral, partnership content and templates for social channels.

 Work on other design projects, as required

Applicant requirements:

 A discerning aesthetic, and a good understanding of design, art and architecture

 A strong and relevant portfolio of design work, across both digital and print

 A forward-thinking approach to the brands, and the ability to spot development opportunities

 Demonstrable experience of working in a team, ideally in a similar role

 Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite

 A highly organised and detail-oriented approach

 A good understanding of the web development process

Desirable skills:

 Experience working with InVision and Figma

 Digital UX/UI skills

 Experience working with CSS, HTML and Javascript

 Illustration skills
