We are looking for a graphic designer to join our studio.
The right person will have a foundation in brand design, with experience bringing systems to life in digital and motion.
We are a small studio that takes immense pride in creating exceptional work. We're looking for someone with the same attitude.
You will:
- Create beautiful design: Proven experience taking projects from first thought to final execution at the highest standard.
- Adapt across mediums: Be comfortable working on identity systems, digital design for web & app, print layout, and a sprinkle of motion to bring it all to life.
- Think Strategically: Ideas always win the day. You must have a desire to infuse cultural and commercial meaning in your work.
- Communicate fluently: Be able to articulate design rationale clearly and confidently, both within the studio and to our clients.
- Never settle: A fundamental desire to learn new tools, grow your skills and strive to make each piece of work better than the last.
- Manage projects: Confident managing your own time and taking ownership of tasks.
- Collaborate & partner: Work hand in hand with your team every step of the way. From strategists to developers.
You are:
- Experienced: You have at least 5 years under your belt in agency .
- Curious: Whenever possible you try new tools, techniques and technology to push your design forward.
- In love with design: Deep infatuation with typography, layout, culture and trends. You keep your finger on the pulse of design.

About the job
- Hybrid working: Every week we work 2 days at home, 3 days in our studio on Bankside by the Tate Modern. Applicants should be based in London.
- Time off: You get 20 days a year, plus all the bank holidays and a day off for your birthday to celebrate (or recover). The studio is also shut over Christmas to give us all time to eat enough mince pies.
- Company activities: We like to have summer and winter parties where we'll get everyone out of the studio to do something away from the screen. Last time we all went and did some screen printing. Hanging your prints in the studio not mandatory.
- Cultural outings: Every 6 weeks we try to get out to see a new exhibition at a gallery, or a trip to the cinema together to watch something with a higher than average score on rotten tomatoes.
- Emergency rations: We keep a fully stocked bowl of fruit and cupboard of cereals at all times, just in case you forget your breakfast. As well as the usual teas and coffees on tap.
- Learning and development: Company paid courses and personal professional development available to all that want it.
- End of year bonus: At the discretion of Grotesk, based on both personal and company performance.
