the role

This leadership role, reporting into the CEO, will visually and verbally bring Dishpatch’s brand and communications strategy to life, translating business & marketing strategies into customer-facing concepts. You’ll be a seasoned start-up or scale-up Creative leader that has led visionary brands and managed design, copy and production teams.

You’ll be an expert at visual and written storytelling and deeply understand the digital and print formats for acquisition and retention that help the business scale. This includes understanding formats and design patterns for new channels like TikTok as well as how other social channels have evolved with interaction design.

More specifically, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading & inspiring the creative team
  • Overseeing all brand creative & campaigns
  • Providing creative vision to match the co-founders’ ambition for the business
  • Art direction for photography and video
  • Copy leadership and direction to deliver direct response, campaign/creative copy
  • Graphic and UI design leadership - especially within a tech enabled business
  • Coaching our creative team to grow, use data and be strategic as well as creative
  • Leading cross-functional creative briefing sessions to clarify business needs & key deliverables
  • Collaborating with internal & external teams by establishing clear processes for briefing and feedback

about you

  • 10+ years of experience working in the creative field, in-house and/or agency, ideally in a high growth startup or scale up
  • Gravitas and leadership to inspire, motivate and support design and copy teams
  • Proven track record of delivering successful brand campaigns across different channels & media
  • Digital-first mindset with a strong understanding of social channels, mobile & content marketing
  • Experience implementing processes to aid creative execution
  • An excellent communicator, both visually & verbally, who is used to presenting/pitching ideas
  • Strong portfolio showcasing strategic/conceptual thinking, visual design and storytelling
