Job Description

We’re on the hunt for a curious and creative Junior Designer. Someone with a sharp eye for detail, a love for great design in all its forms, and a solid foundation across graphic, brand, web and app design.

This role is ideal for someone who’s excited to get stuck into a wide variety of projects. From building brands to crafting slick interfaces. Someone who’s just as comfortable exploring moodboards as they are nudging pixels in Figma.

You’ll work closely with our design and dev teams to bring ideas to life. We're also looking for someone self-motivated, up for a challenge, and keen to grow with us as we build something special.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Designing across **a mix of disciplines**. From brand identities and campaign visuals to responsive websites and mobile apps
  • Researching and understanding our clients’ audiences, competitors and goals
  • Creating and maintaining design systems and component libraries
  • Helping develop ideas from concept through to execution, with support from senior designers
  • Collaborating with developers to ensure your designs are built as intended
  • Supporting testing and QA, making sure designs feel as good as they look
  • Pitching in with internal brand, process and business development projects

Essential skills and experience

  • A portfolio that shows strong foundations in graphic design, typography, layout, and digital interfaces
  • Comfortable using Figma, Adobe CC (especially Illustrator and Photoshop), and ideally a splash of motion or prototyping know-how.
  • An understanding of web and mobile UI patterns, and the basics of responsive design
  • Experience working with design systems or brand guidelines
  • Excellent communication and time management skills. You’re confident sharing your work, getting feedback and hitting deadlines
  • A willingness to learn, experiment and grow. We're not expecting you to know everything

Workplace incentives

  • Salary sacrifice pension plan
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • Professional development budget
  • Generous holiday allowance 28 days holiday (including Christmas shutdown)
  • An extra day of holiday for each year of service
  • 3-month unpaid sabbatical after 3 years
  • 3-month unpaid sabbatical *plus* £10k after 6 years
  • Hybrid working policy - 4 weeks "work from anywhere" each year, after probation minimum of 3 days a week in-office (Thursdays mandatory)
  • Monthly socials
  • Winter and summer retreats (dependent on company performance)
