Job Description

At DK, we believe in the power of beautifully designed, expertly produced books that inspire and inform readers around the world.

DK Living is seeking a Studio Manager to lead our centralised team supporting the full breadth of DK Living’s publishing output. This pivotal role is at the heart of our division, and the Studio Manager will act as the key facilitator between creative, sales, marketing, and production teams. As we continue to grow this division, we need a proactive Studio Manager who will ensure streamlined coordination, timely delivery of sales materials, and smooth day-to-day operations, while also championing workflow efficiency, team development, and resource optimisation.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive operational excellence by leading the strategic management of workflows and processes across all DK Living publishing streams. By ensuring efficiency and quality, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards and delivering projects on time.
  • Orchestrate seamless collaboration between editorial, creative, sales, marketing, and production to deliver against business goals.
  • Lead on the critical path for sales and marketing materials, from jackets and proofs to book fair presentations and campaign assets.
  • Provide clear leadership and line management to the Sales and Jacket Materials Coordinators. Your ability to build strong relationships will be essential for fostering a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture that inspires others to excel in their role.
  • Optimise processes by monitoring and reporting on workflow and delivery metrics, ensuring deadlines are met and risks are managed.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A self-starter with initiative, drive, and the ability to turn challenges into solutions.
  • Resilient and calm under pressure, able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining a positive outlook.
  • A confident communicator, skilled at building strong relationships internally and externally.
  • A constructive negotiator, able to balance creative ambition with operational efficiency to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented, delivering accurate and polished work to the highest standards.
  • Organised and efficient, with excellent time management and the ability to guide junior team members.

At DK, you’ll be part of a global publisher where creativity is at the core of everything we do. You will work on projects that reach millions of readers, collaborate with passionate colleagues, and shape processes that make a lasting impact.

Working from the office a minimum of three days a week, you will report directly to the Art Director and lead a small team, giving you the opportunity to shape and build this role to meet the evolving needs of our division. We are committed to building a culture of representation and belonging, and we want you to be a part of that journey.
