Spirit of the role

As a Midweight Designer you will be the heart of the design output of our projects. Creating the work that drives projects forward, you will be relied upon to answer design briefs with creative solutions to a very high standard.

You will bring ideas, energy and solid design skills to any task or stage of project; from immersion to strategy to creative expression.

You collaborate well with designers, strategists and other team members. You happily interact with clients and suppliers.

We’re looking for someone who can:

Bring boundless energy, optimism and passion, you’ll generate ideas and interesting creative work with strong conceptual foundations. Designing from concept to completion across any brand touch-point and supporting any design related tasks in projects.

Provide valuable input across all stages of a project; from immersion to strategy to creative expression and through to implementation.

Preparing and presenting work, putting together materials for pitches, presentations and workshops.

Supporting team members, across the design and to client services teams to meet collective goals.

Take initiative and display leadership qualities.

Going on immersion trips with design teams to collect primary research for projects, wherever clients may be.

Being culturally connected and understand new waves and trends. Attending events, exhibitions and connect to universities and design institutions.

Who you are:

Demonstrable experience including formal training in specific design discipline or relevant experience. Proven skills and competencies within design discipline. Shows a love for design and shows ability to learn and develop. Most likely you’ll have at least 2–3 years of industry experience.

A high quality portfolio showing work that demonstrates concept driven design and well crafted execution. Work should show versatility, experimentation and energy. Has worked on print and digital executions from start to finish.

Strong people skills making you comfortable working as a team and confident to take part in interviews, workshops and interactions with clients. Flexibility: Able to flex and be confident working within any kind of industry, with any type of person, anywhere in the world (from start-ups to corporations and beyond).

A confident presenter with proven ability to present clearly and show experience with communication and presentations. Able to put an attractive and compelling presentation together.

A critical thinker who is ble to question and challenge briefs and solve design problems creatively

Solid tool-kit with a high level of skill at typical design programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Sketch) Experience in animation, coding and interaction design is a huge bonus (2D animation software, 3D animation software, prototyping tools, coding languages).
