Role Overview

You will be aiming to build out an exciting book of business from scratch. You will work with the Head of Sales to build a strategy and target account list to approach. You will act as the primary contact for your clients and act as the conduit between the creative, project management, sourcing and shipping teams to ensure that every project is delivered to an exceptional standard and creates an everlasting impact.

The role of Business Development Manager is a hands-on role that requires excellent commercial, project and client management skills. The role is client facing and demands a knack for creative problem solving and strong communication skills that keeps clients in the loop at all stages of the project.

We are looking for someone with direct experience and a proven track record in developing new business in Europe and building their own book of clients from scratch. The ideal candidate will be an initiative taking self starter who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys being on the front line of an exciting scale-up in a new market.

About You

The Client Champion: the client is at the centre of everything you do. You’ll build strong, trusted relationships based on great service, quality and delivery, while seeking out new opportunities and making sure clients want to keep working with us.

The Account Owner: you’ll take full ownership of your book of business, including the revenue and margin it generates. You’ll understand where your accounts are heading, build accurate forecasts and take responsibility for delivering against them.

The Connector: you’ll remain a key point of contact from initial enquiry through to project completion, working closely with our Project Managers and wider teams to keep everything moving. From developing presentations and briefs through to sourcing and production, you’ll make sure communication is clear, everyone is aligned and the client has a seamless experience throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update your sales pipeline - you will manage your own sales channel using our CRM and creating a consistent system across all parts of the funnel will be paramount.
  • Plan and execute a strategic outreach program that includes physical gifting, email and in person networking with the ambition to consistently add quality leads to the funnel.
  • Regular check-ins with your key accounts; touching base on live projects, finalising completed ones and developing ideas for new ones.
  • Clients and projects may range from scope and complexity, from very small quick orders to larger bespoke creations. You will be responsible for managing all the work streams to produce the final deliverable(s). Understanding of scope and awareness of status of all live briefs and efficient team resourcing including task prioritisation.
  • Be the go-to person for all status-related information and so will be expected to always be on top of progress.
  • Answer briefs and inbound sales inquiries with consistent communication and a proactive approach.
  • Be confident and comfortable communicating effectively with a range of personalities.
  • Use your experience & knowledge to be a key decision maker on projects and offer valuable experience and insight during early concept work.
  • Consistently inspiring colleagues with concepts/ideas/technologies to be considered to enhance our work.
  • Extensive use of our project management and CRM tool (Hubspot)
  • Extensive use of our inventory and ordering tool (Unleashed). Executing the requirements properly; ensuring quotes, sales orders and purchase orders are done.

Contract

Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary

€48,000 - €53,000, based on experience.

Eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive, subject to meeting specific targets and company performance.
