About Us
BPD is a London-based graphic design studio working across identity, packaging, exhibition and book design projects. Founded by Ben Prescott in 2019, we are a growing team of 6. BPD's clients include The Lavery, 180 Strand, V&A, Heatherwick Studio, Alex Eagle, Hauser & Wirth, Thames and Hudson, National Trust and Brinkworth Design.
The Role
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Studio Assistant to support the daily operations of our studio. This is an entry-level, part-time position, perfect for someone with a genuine interest in design and the creative industries, looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic studio environment.
You’ll be an essential part of our studio, helping keep everything running smoothly and supporting the team across a variety of administrative, financial, and creative tasks.
- General administrative support to the studio team
- Maintain the daily running and organisation of the studio
- Assist with studio finances using tools like Apron and Xero
- Provide research support to designers on a wide range of projects
- Work closely with and support the Studio Manager on ad hoc tasks
- Source and communicate with suppliers
- Organise and book travel arrangements
- Prepare the studio for client meetings
- Organise printing and samples for client presentations
About You
- Positive and proactive, with a can-do attitude
- Organised and detail-oriented
- Confident in juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
- Calm under pressure
- A great communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Genuinely interested in the design / creative world
- Experience using Adobe CC, Xero, and Monday.com is preferred but not essential

Location, hours and salary
Studio-based, 9:00-6:00pm Monday to Friday, at our studio in Hackney Downs. Close to Rectory Road and Dalston Kingsland overground stations.
Salary of £16,250 per annum, 24 hours per week. Initial six month contract with a view to extend to a permanent full time role at the end of the contract.
