About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside the creative team and project managers on live briefs and creative projects across our portfolio of creative and design-led businesses, with a focus on events and hospitality.
We are looking for a confident, creative and highly organised Graphic Designer who has a genuine interest in bringing brands to life. Our ideal candidate is a versatile designer with excellent communication skills, the ability to mix creative flair with commercial awareness and who demonstrates a passion for brand, travel, hospitality and lifestyle.
You will be responsible for creating both physical, digital, web and social media assets for our group of businesses, each with a distinct voice, tone and personality. The successful candidate will need to thrive working under pressure, ensuring high-quality, relevant and forward-thinking output that fits both our brand tone of voice and customer profiles.
This is a part-time freelance role. It can be remote, or office-based depending on the candidate.
Responsibilities
• Have a sound understanding of the creative process from briefing to final output.
• Organise and maintain design files and dropbox for remote workflow.
• Ensure a high level of quality and attention to detail on all design output.
• Work closely with the Head of Design on evolving the brand identity and adhering to brand guidelines.
• Ensuring visual consistency within design output; colour, type, photography, illustration all remain on-brand at all times.
• Provide fresh thinking, strong ideas maintains an atmosphere of inspiration and positivity.
• Liaising with external printers or production teams to ensure deadlines are met and print outputs are to the highest quality.
• Work towards creative briefs supporting the head of design and rolling out creative campaigns and concepts across a range of mediums including web, email design, social media assets, as well as designing print-first assets such as menus, stickers, posters and other offline activations.
• Collaborate with the wider marketing team to ensure design output is aligned to creative brief and channel requirements.
Requirements:
• Experience in graphic design to a junior-mid level (1-2 years in a studio or similar) with a strong portfolio to match.
• Hold a degree in graphic design or similar and be proficient in key Adobe Creative Cloud software (including but not limited to Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, AfterEffects, PremierPro).
• A desire to conceptualise and create amazing content, marketing materials and collateral for our customers, events and shops.
• Take pride in developing concepts and output to the finest detail.
• A positive attitude, good communication skills and the ability to work proactively and independently.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage workflow and remote teamwork efficiently.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
Nice to haves:
• We are looking for someone with skills outside of conventional graphic design - an ideal candidate is someone who can develop concepts and take briefs to a new level with creative and fresh thinking.
• Ideally a successful candidate will have the ability to work with motion and illustration, as well as strong graphic design skills. (Advantageous but not essential).

• Part time fixed retainer: 6 months with opportunity to extend (3 month progress review)
• Pay will depend on the candidate’s day rate
• Office space available if preferred (in Hawarden, North Wales)
• Requirement to be UK based
