Creative Designer

1 year full time contract, with potential to extend

Love Productions, the production company behind The Great British Bake Off, The Great British Sewing Bee, and The Great Pottery Throw Down, is looking for a creative designer to join their digital content team. This team produces a constant stream of content to support all of Love’s shows on social and digital, from short video clips pulled from the episodes and graphic templates, through to totally original content captured just for digital. This role will play a key part in the creative team, also contributing to the visual look & feel and style guides for all the shows and taking ownership over the quality of creative work that’s being produced.

This is an opportunity to own the digital side of one of the UK’s best-loved television shows and its sister productions. We have a large, highly-engaged audience on digital and our adoption of social media for engagement with the TV show from its early stages earmarks us as a pioneer in this space. This is the legacy that we’re looking to build on within the digital team.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Digital Executive Producer, this is a midweight position that requires a good few years experience creating graphics, videos and other assets for high-profile clients and campaigns.

- Day-to-day: Design, develop and deliver (in response to briefs) static and moving assets for social media and other digital platforms, including animation/motion graphics and light video editing

- Advise on the visual styles and toolkits for each of the shows

- Create graphic templates for a consistent look and feel

- Working with the digital producers and other creatives to bring ideas to life on social platforms

- Contribute creative ideas to brainstorms

- Take some responsibility for artistic direction and quality control (with the support of senior team members), making sure all the creative work meets a high standard

- Working to briefs and deadlines to deliver assets on time

- Support more junior members of the creative team on relevant projects

THE PERSON:

- A long-time fan of Bake Off with a background in digital design

- A passionate creative with great ideas and a love for entertainment

- A team player who’s also happy to crack on independently

- Strong eye for detail

- 4+ years experience creating a range of digital assets, mainly for social media usage

- An up-to-date understanding of the ever-changing social landscape and its implications on design specs

- Enthusiasm for producing best-in-class work — our team continue to lead the curve when it comes to TV on social.

- Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite After Effects, Premier, Illustrator, Indesign etc).
