Job Description

Senior 3D Designer - Retail Interiors (Fashion)

Salary: Up to £60,000, dependent on experience

Location: East London

Working pattern: Hybrid (3 days in studio, 2 from home)

Software: SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator), and V-Ray

Sector: Retail Experience Design, Brand Environments, and Cultural Activations

About the studio

This is one of the most awarded retail design agencies in the world, and it has earned that the long way round. Over forty-five years they have built a reputation for creative excellence and genuine cultural relevance, working with globally recognised brands to design retail experiences that actually move people rather than just shift product. The client list runs through sport, fashion, beauty, and well beyond, and the work spans flagship stores, brand activations, communications, and global strategy.

The studio sits in Angel, North London, and the culture is the kind you would hope for from a place like this: collaborative, non-hierarchical, and creatively restless. Designers, strategists, architects, brand experts, and makers all work under one roof, and the standard stays consistently high across the board.

This is a studio that has been doing things properly for a very long time, and it shows in the work. Not a place resting on its history. A place still trying to better it.

About the role

This is a Senior Designer role within the Retail and Interiors team. It works either as a step up for a strong mid-weight who is ready for more, or as a natural home for someone already operating at senior level who simply wants to be somewhere the work is genuinely exciting.

You will work across the full project lifecycle, from concept development through to technical delivery, on briefs for some of the best-known brands in the world. You will bring the ideas and the craft to execute them, take real ownership of your projects, and start building your presence with clients. There is proper scope here for someone with ambition: the studio is non-hierarchical, the talent around you is excellent, and the work is the kind that makes a portfolio worth a second look.

Your days will look something like this

  • Develop and present compelling design concepts across retail interiors and brand environment projects
  • Produce high-quality 3D models, visualisations, and technical drawings in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and V-Ray
  • Take ownership of project stages from concept through to delivery, working closely with senior designers and project leads
  • Contribute to client presentations with considered ideas and a clear narrative behind every design decision
  • Support and mentor junior members of the team, sharing what you know and helping raise the standard of the output
  • Stay across emerging trends in retail, materials, and production methods, and bring what you find back to the team
  • Collaborate across disciplines: interiors, brand communications, strategy, and beyond
  • Manage your own time and deliverables across several live projects at once

You might be our perfect match if…

  • You have 5+ years in retail design, branded environments, or commercial interiors
  • Your portfolio shows considered, resolved work with real creative ambition, the sort that is interesting as well as technically sound
  • You are highly proficient in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and the Adobe Suite, with V-Ray experience a strong plus
  • You are a confident presenter who can articulate the thinking behind a design, not just show the design itself
  • You have started working directly with clients and are ready to do more of it
  • You can mentor juniors without ego, happy to pass on what you know and roll your sleeves up when it is needed
  • You are curious, self-motivated, and the kind of designer who notices the things other people miss

Why this one

  • Up to £60,000, dependent on experience
  • Hybrid working, with 3 days in a well-equipped London studio and 2 from home
  • Over 300 design awards and forty-five years of creative excellence, so the reputation is real and earned
  • A non-hierarchical studio where good ideas get heard regardless of the job title attached to them
  • Clients spanning sport, fashion, beauty, and culture at a global level
  • A genuinely collaborative team of designers, strategists, architects, and makers
