Job Description

2D Designer / Graphic Designer

Remote-First (UK & Ireland)

We’re Cogs & Marvel! A global experiential agency with main hubs in Dublin, London, New York and San Francisco. Our teams work globally and we’re remote-first (although we often meet in person for meetings in London and at live events globally) but this opportunity is for someone UK & Ireland based. We dream up and deliver live and digital experiences that spark joy, provoke thought, and stay with people.

We’re expanding our creative team and are looking for a passionate Graphic Designer ready to make bold, beautiful work for global brands and immersive events. You might be working as a Junior Designer looking for your next opportunity to grow as a creative or a more established designer with a few years experience working within a creative agency looking for a new challenge.

This position within our studio reports directly into our Creative Director and comes with a clear career pathway perfect for someone looking to move into a Senior Designer role within the next couple of years.

What you’ll bring:

- A portfolio that shows solid environmental print and digital design skills through comms design, art direction, and brand identity work.

- Confidence in translating briefs into compelling narratives.

- Past experience working for creative agencies in either an experiential or live event capacity.

- The ability to work collaboratively with 3D Designers by creating assets that contribute to building realistic visualisations.

- The ability to work collaboratively with Junior 2D Designers and Artworkers when moving design into production.

- An eye for craft, layout, colour, and typography.

- Organisation, efficiency, and calmness under pressure.

- Fluency in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); bonus for any motion, illustration or presentation design capabilities.

- Experience utilising AI-based technology, platforms or programs to improve efficiencies for creative work.

What you’ll do:

- Design compelling visual identities for events and experiences, aligned with both brand guidelines and creative concepts.

- Create graphics for immersive spaces, digital comms, and pitch decks.

- Prepare artwork and large-format files for print and production when required.

- Contribute to creative concepts and experiential ideation as part of a creative and collaborative team.

- Develop beautiful, insight-led moodboards, treatments and storyboards that distil creative strategy into visual direction.

- Present ideas and creative solutions with confidence, building strong working relationships with both colleagues and clients.

- Bring your unique sense of style and storytelling to every task.

- Continue to build your creative knowledge and skills (with the guidance of the Creative Director) with the goal of progressing into a Senior Designer role.

What we value:

- Creativity with purpose.

- A willingness to learn and develop within a role.

- Active listening and proactivity.

- Collaborative relationship building.

- Organisation and clarity of thought.

- Confidence in your ideas and curiosity for new ones.

We’re flexible, collaborative, and hugely passionate about creating beautiful work that resonates with audiences so please share your portfolio and let us know where you’re at in your career — we’d love to meet you!

Salary range (based on experience) £32,000 - £45,0000 per annum
