About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Business Development team. This brand new role will drive the sales and growth of our Insights work. Sitting in the Business Development team, this is an exciting opportunity for you to drive the sales leads across this aspect of our commercial offering, strengthening It’s Nice That’s profile in the market. You will deliver sustainable revenue growth for It’s Nice That from Insights and its related membership platform.
Collaborating with our creative and research teams, this is an exciting opportunity to influence our Insights sales and growth strategy, taking initiative and following plans through to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the pipeline of new research work, with oversight of commercial targets, running proposals and aligning actions across teams.
- Developing and executing sales strategies for INT Insights, and suggesting improvements and builds on our approach when necessary.
- Strategically identifying and contacting new sales leads for INT Insights.
- Picking up and developing existing It’s Nice That partner relationships to identify opportunities for new bespoke research projects.
- Securing new members and renewing existing memberships for our subscription platform FYI.
- Building commercially lucrative relationships with key creative leaders for INT Insights alongside Head of Business Development.
- Identifying opportunities and consulting with clients, then aligning those business insights with our capabilities to write briefs for the team
- Developing and delivering creds decks and formal client proposals alongside the research team.
- Pitching to clients and agencies at a high level
- Maintaining the prospects and opportunities for INT Insights in the relevant databases, and supporting the Head of Business Development on company forecasting and reporting.
- Leading and delivering marketing initiatives and projects to raise the profile of INT Insights.
- Feeding into development of annual new business strategy, lead by Head of Business Development
What You Bring
- Experience in B2B sales in Creative Services Agency. Research, Trends or Strategy services would be ideal (these relevant companies or in a position with transferable skills)
- Proactive with the ability to prioritise and progress work without supervision, and manage a pipeline of opportunities
- Good people skills that builds strong relationships with both clients and internal teams
- Ability to influence and build relationships with senior creative leaders
- Excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Ability to translate creative business problems into actionable research briefs.
- A good understanding of how visual culture and trends research can support a creative team and ultimately impact business.
- Awareness of the insights and research landscape and its latest developments.
- Demonstrable passion in visual culture, design, or related creative disciplines.
- A black book of existing brand contacts to open new doors for It’s Nice That research work (desirable)
- Experience of delivering industry facing marketing activities for agency related services (desirable)
Key Details
- Salary: £44,000
- Permanent and Full Time
- Reporting into: Head of Business Development
- Level: Senior
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm (flexible hours between 8am – 6:30pm)
- Location: 2 days based in our London studio on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the rest of the week at home
