About Thomas Grey Creative
Thomas Grey Creative is an established creative and digital agency working with globally recognised brands. We specialise in high-quality design, marketing collateral, digital experiences, presentations and website development.
As our agency continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Designer to join our small, fully remote team.
The role
We're looking for a talented, versatile Senior Designer with an exceptional eye for visual design and the confidence to work independently.
You'll work across several international client accounts, producing everything from campaign creative and marketing collateral to digital assets, presentations and brand materials.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and can consistently deliver excellent design without needing constant direction.
You'll work closely with our Creative Director, Studio Manager and wider creative team, with responsibility for managing your assigned work and communicating directly with clients through platforms such as Monday.com and Asana.
Flexible working with opportunities for more
We recognise that talented designers don't always want a traditional nine-to-five job.
This position offers the stability of regular employment with the flexibility to organise your working hours around other commitments.
It could be particularly well suited to experienced freelance designers looking for reliable monthly income while retaining the freedom to work with their own clients, or designers seeking a more flexible working arrangement.
The contract guarantees 12 days per month, with the potential to work additional paid days as client demand increases. We're therefore looking for someone who values flexibility but also has the capacity and willingness to take on more work when required.
Your monthly hours can be spread across full days, shorter working days or a combination of arrangements.
We'll agree a schedule that balances your availability with changing client requirements. We care about the quality of your work, clear communication and meeting deadlines, rather than rigid working hours.
What you'll be doing
- Designing high-quality creative across digital and print, including campaigns, brochures, reports, social media, advertising and presentations.
- Developing creative concepts and working confidently within established brand guidelines.
- Creating digital assets and layouts using Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
- Managing assigned projects independently, from initial brief through to final delivery.
- Communicating directly and professionally with clients through Monday.com, Asana and other agreed channels, including clarifying briefs, providing progress updates and responding to feedback.
- Collaborating remotely with our designers, developers and Studio Manager to manage priorities and deadlines.
- Ensuring all work meets consistently high creative and technical standards.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Significant professional graphic design experience, ideally within an agency environment.
- An excellent portfolio demonstrating strong visual design across different brands and formats.
- Advanced Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Figma.
- Excellent typography, layout, composition and attention to detail.
- Experience producing marketing collateral and digital campaign assets.
- The ability to interpret briefs and deliver creative work independently.
- Strong written communication skills and confidence communicating directly with clients.
- Excellent time management, organisation and a proactive approach to remote working.
- Flexibility to accommodate changing workloads and availability to take on additional days when mutually agreed.
- UK-based with the right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience working with technology or B2B brands.
- Microsoft PowerPoint and Canva design experience.
- Website design and UX/UI knowledge.
- Experience producing event or exhibition graphics.
- Experience using Monday.com or Asana to manage projects and communicate with clients.
What we offer
- £40,000–£43,000 full-time equivalent salary, pro rata.
- A guaranteed 12 days per month, with opportunities for additional paid work.
- A 12-month fixed-term employment contract, with the potential to become permanent.
- Fully remote working from anywhere in the UK.
- Genuine flexibility in how your monthly hours are arranged.
- The opportunity to work with internationally recognised brands.
- A varied mix of creative projects and design disciplines.
- A small, experienced and collaborative team.
- The independence to manage your work and contribute your own ideas.
- Paid annual leave and applicable employment benefits.
