The Role

We are currently looking for a brilliant and versatile creative to join our busy creative team.

As well as possessing excellent illustration skills, the successful candidate will be a strong visual thinker and problem solver, with the confidence to contribute ideas with wit and originality across our wide and varied range of projects. They will be flexible, organised, able to work to tight deadlines, unafraid of new challenges, and passionate about visual communication.

Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and the ability to produce quick, clear and engaging hand-drawn illustration work is essential. Our clients include some of the world’s largest corporations, charities and NGOs. As such, we’re looking for a candidate with good general knowledge and an ability to work with content from science, technology, business and social issues.

Standard working hours are 9:30 - 5:30 with a one-hour lunch break. The role will be a mix of remote and office working. We offer flexibility for regular home working.

Key Responsibilities

- Creating engaging imagery to meet client briefs

- Working with clients directly on visualisation briefs with the support of the creative team and creative director

- Meeting clients (virtually and/or in real life) to receive briefs and discuss projects

- Producing artwork for Scriberia’s own marketing and content needs

- Contributing creative ideas to a wide variety of Scriberia projects

- Live-scribing events of any type and size, working on paper as well as digitally, although not the main focus of this role, will be required in the future.

What we are looking for

Essential:

- A minimum of one-three years of professional experience in a creative role, either as a freelancer or in a permanent position

- Graduates are welcome to apply

- Ability to create smart and engaging spot illustrations and/or infographics

- Capable and comfortable working through tasks independently

- Able to talk and discuss ideas in a group setting both internally and with clients

- Articulate, collaborative, creative, hardworking and enthusiastic

- Ability to multi-task and keep calm whilst prioritising under pressure

- Ability to relate to client briefs and business challenges from the perspective of how and why our methods bring solutions to those challenges

- Ability to create useful and original visuals

- Versatile and able to work in different styles to suit different briefs and brands

- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

- Eager to learn and develop

- Generally curious about the world and communicating ideas

- A creative mindset and a strong belief in the power of pictures with a practical purpose

- UK resident and able to travel to London for team and client meetings. When working remotely, you will need to work from a private area so confidentiality is maintained.

Desirable:

- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and ProCreate

- Experience of drawing in a live setting

- Experience in working on mural projects

- A growth mindset and can-do attitudes
