While most of your job will involve all things TikTok content creation - being a Creative Social Media Editor (TikTok specific) means much more than just creating impactful and viral content for our TikTok channel. Within this role, youâll be creating daily content while also working to find content creators to collaborate with on different content series and developing content strategies for the brand. Expect to create, plan and develop content under the direction of our Head of Audience Growth.
As a Creative Social Media Editor (TikTok specific) within SCREENSHOT Mediaâs social department, youâll want to keep pushing yourself and your platform to disrupt and level up! đ
Your tasks and responsibilities đ
- Create fresh and exciting daily content to help capture a wider audience across our TikTok, a minimum of one video a day
- Create and oversee the launch of new series and original content for our TikTok channel
- Coordinate with Head of Audience Growth to guarantee the workflow, production and output standards are being upheld
- Ensure daily and weekly workload is delivered on time and in line with our publishing schedule
- Prepare accurate analytic reports for our weekly and monthly targets across views, engagements and followers
- Strategy development and intiative are expected as you gain more experience within the role
- Ensure content meets editorial, ethical and legal standards and is in line with SCREENSHOT Mediaâs brand and tone of voice.
Role skills and requirements â
- You must be passionate about social media trends and already paying attention to trending stories across news, entertainment and celebrity topics
- Ideally, some prior experience working in social media, this can be an internship, placement or some freelance work. However, we also encourage candidates with no prior experience to apply as we review applications on merit
- Ideally, you are a content creator who has a social media presence or are looking to kickstart your career as such
- A BA or any higher qualification in journalism, media, marketing or communication is a plus but in no way a must
- Mid-level understanding of Adobe Suite, Canva, and TikTok editing
- You must be a team player, eager to get fully stuck in the work, and absolutely love social media and content creation
- You have a good understanding of how TikTok operates, understand the platform's interface, and can spot viral and successful content
- You are able to create original (brand-appropriate) reactive videos - experience of navigating sensitive and often controversial issues on social media is a bonus
- You are confident in being in front of the camera and producing front-facing content
- You stay up-to-date with the latest conversations online and can spot trending topics
- You have experience or can expect to learn how to use scheduling software
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- You already know or are eager to learn about data, analytics, and ever-changing algorithms
- You are able to learn and apply content strategy insights around brand KPIs while staying true to the tone and brand voice of the company
- You have copywriting skills and can research topics thoroughly to report on them concisely and can create a storytelling narrative
- You are friendly and adaptable when speaking to content creators and have an appetite for spotting strong video content
- You have quick thinking ability and thrive in fast-paced environments
- You are willing to take initiative when necessary
What we offer â¨
- This position is ÂŁ23,000-ÂŁ24,000 per annum
- Candidates must be London based
- A hybrid WFH and office culture. We have a beautiful office in Shoreditch and ask our team to come in twice a week. We totally get it that after Covid, no one wants to be in the office 5 days a week, but at the same time know that weâre best when weâre bouncing off of each other and brainstorming together.
- Our working hours are from 9am to 6pm.
