Content Creator

Info about the role:

We’re looking for a talented Freelance Content Creator to join the GAIL’s Creative Studio 3 days/week. The role will entail producing, capturing and editing content within all areas of the business – from supplier stories and behind-the-scenes campaign moments, to the energy of our bakeries and even our run clubs and recipe videos. We want someone who can craft and tell stories with impact.

The ideal candidate has experience across both short-form and long-form. A strong sense of what “good” looks like, and a sharp idea of emerging trends. They’ll know how to apply critical thinking to determine how the GAIL’s brand can leverage different social mediums in a way which feels considered and not reactive.

You’ll have a strong eye for beautiful, crafted visuals, and an instinct for storytelling rooted in food, craft and artistry. We’re looking for someone who is bursting with ideas and visual references, who is curious and hungry to innovate and use the medium of video for good. A self-starter who can bring ideas to the table and help transform them into something that will make an impact and humanise the GAIL’s brand.

The role will mainly be either on-site at our Camden Test Kitchen or on-the-go shooting in bakeries, events or with our amazing producer network further afield in the UK.

What will you be doing:

• Produce, shoot and edit short and long form content for social media, internal comms and the GAIL’s journal / website
• Bring fresh ideas to life, from concept through to execution
• Create thoughtful, high-quality storytelling that drives impact

About you:

• Experience shooting long form and short form
• A deep understand of social media and film
• Proficiency with Premiere and other Adobe editing tools
• Motion Graphics and/or illustration experience is a plus
• Experience in food is a plus but not essential
• A keen eye for taste and aesthetic
• Attention to detail is paramount

Salary will depend on level of experience. Candidates must have a right to work in the UK as GAIL's are unable to provide sponsorship opportunities for freelance positions.
