Job Description

Join the HemingwayDesign team!

Are you a passionate graphic designer who thrives in a fast-paced, purposeful studio?

We’re on the lookout for a Midweight Graphic Designer to join our close-knit team in London. If you’re bursting with ideas, love shaping visual identities, and want to create work that delivers social value, we’d love to hear from you.

We value ambition, curiosity, collaboration and creative excellence - and we’re looking for someone who brings energy and fresh thinking to every project.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in developing brand identities, campaigns and activations - taking ideas from concept to completion with precision and flair. This is a full-time role, based at our London studio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead identity design projects from concept to execution – including logos, typography, colour systems and visual languages.
  • Translate creative concepts into compelling design across print and digital formats – from pitch decks and presentations to websites, editorial layouts and social campaigns.
  • Contribute to brainstorming and creative strategy.
  • Confidently present and explain your ideas to the team and to clients.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to push ideas forward with clarity, detail and impact.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a creative studio or agency environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating standout branding, editorial and conceptual work.
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and confident in layout, typography and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to think conceptually, present ideas clearly, and are comfortable in client-facing conversations.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and can manage multiple projects with a keen eye for detail.
  • Culturally curious and visually informed – interested in art, design, fashion, music and culture.
  • Experience with motion design, Figma, or UX is a plus – but not essential.
  • Most of all, we value personality and potential as much as experience.
  • If you don’t tick every box but love the sound of the role, we still encourage you to apply.

What We Offer:

  • A collaborative studio culture
  • Opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact projects across a wide range of sectors
  • Competitive salary based on experience, plus annual reviews
  • Room to grow as part of a values-led B-Corp business
  • One WFH day per week (usually Wednesday)
  • Four weeks’ paid holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Four-day working week in July and August
  • Spacious studio with a sunny garden/outdoor working area and two friendly office dogs
  • Pension scheme and professional development support
