Job Description
Directors Rep Role at FRIEND
We’re hiring a Director’s Rep.
- FRIEND is on the lookout for someone sharp, curious and creatively driven to join our team as a Director’s Rep.
- Maybe you’re producing at an agency and itching to get closer to the making.
- Maybe you’re already repping directors and ready for a new challenge.
- Maybe you’re in post, love the work, but miss the buzz of live action.
- Or maybe you don’t even use the term “Director’s Rep” - you just know great filmmaking when you see it and can talk about it all day.
- However you got here, if this sounds like you, we want to hear from you. We’re genuinely open to individual experience.
About FRIEND
FRIEND is a London based production company working with agencies, brands and a global community of artists to create bold, creatively led work. We back strong ideas, distinctive voices and directors with something to say.
The role
This is a people-facing, taste-led role at the heart of the company. You’ll be championing our directors, building meaningful relationships, and helping shape where the company goes next.
You’ll probably:
- Have strong creative instincts and a genuine obsession with film, storytelling and advertising.
- Enjoy building things — relationships, careers, ideas — rather than simply maintaining them.
- Feel comfortable in a fast-moving, growing environment.
- Have an intuitive understanding of directors and how they work.
- Keep a close eye on emerging talent while appreciating more established voices.
- Get real satisfaction from helping directors land the right work and grow their careers.
- Be organised, proactive and good at juggling multiple priorities.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Building and nurturing relationships with agencies, creatives and brand clients.
- Developing and delivering sales strategies that support both our directors and the wider business.
- Presenting our roster clearly and confidently, and speaking passionately about the work.
- Working closely with the Managing Director on marketing, PR and awards strategy.
- Growing direct-to-brand relationships alongside senior leadership.
- Creating compelling sales decks, reels and case studies.
- Keeping up with new and emerging directing talent.
- Representing FRIEND at industry events, screenings, talks and awards.
Experience
- There’s no single route into this role, but you might be:
- Already working as a Director’s Rep (at any level), or
- An agency producer ready to make the move to the production side and bring your network with you.
