Midweight Designer

Gather is a creative communications business joining brand, digital, ESG and corporate reporting. We work with ambitious listed and private companies across multiple sectors to solve communication challenges using insights and powerful ideas. We are experts at developing brands with purpose, ESG strategies, online communication and corporate reporting that builds long-term value. We are based in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an imaginative mid-weight creative designer to join our growing creative team. With an appetite for delivering innovative multi-channel creative, you are able to take a brief and create bold, engaging ideas and thinking that work across all things digital and brand. Working alongside a dedicated creative team you will take ownership of the creative development of projects and be integral in defining the creative outcome.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers, design directors and creative directors to create new concepts for clients

• Understand creative briefs with the ability to distil the key objectives from the client into creative solutions that translate across numerous platforms

• Develop robust initial concepts using a range of applications, take them through to successful design development

• Take responsibility for creative challenges and be self-sufficient

• Clearly articulate creative ideas for presentation in client meetings

• Collaborate with others to develop creative solutions that translate across numerous platforms

• Create design files that can easily be turned into production files

• Create infographics, commission photography and illustration concepts to answer the brief and budget

• Work closely with project managers, account directors, and artworkers

• Help to create presentations for new business and existing clients

Skills and Knowledge:

• At least 3 years’ experience working as a strong conceptual designer

• Keeps abreast of the industry, as well as innovative digital comms and experiences, relishes pushing the boundaries and trying something new

• Proficient in using digital programmes such as XD and Sketch, Photoshop and After Effects as well as having experience in industry standard software, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and able to integrate UX thinking into the design process

• Collaborative and approachable, easy to work with and thrives in a team environment

• Excellent attention to detail, a strong client service ethic

• A can-do attitude, flexible and positive, a team player
