Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Digital Designer to join the team on a full-time basis, with flexibility on location.

About the role

Strawberry are a UK based Shopify Plus and BigCommerce partner agency. We provide end-to-end ecommerce services to leading brands looking to make the most of their online retail.

We're looking for a versatile designer to help us create exceptional ecommerce experiences for our clients. Brand and user-focussed design is at the heart of everything we do from thinking, planning, and sketching to crafting effective user experiences via personas, user journeys, wireframes and prototypes. Our team is continually challenged to experiment with new tools, new technologies and to explore innovative ways to grow our clients’ business — you will be too.

You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of an ecommerce design project; making design decisions based on good judgement, experience, research and data, whilst collaborating with the Strawberry team and clients along the way.

You will also take part in establishing the scope and requirements for new projects, then create and present compelling presentations by communicating the rationale behind it to all involved.

Skills and Experience

  • Ideally, you’ll have at least 3 years’ experience creating stand-out digital experiences and will bring with you:
  • A portfolio demonstrating a strong knowledge of ecommerce and experience design, brand, the creative process and conceptual thinking.
  • An understanding of the principles of UX/UI design and how to apply them
  • Ability to research and provide strategic, objective-driven solutions for clients
  • A keen interest in user needs as defined by data, analytics and metrics
  • An ability to maintain a high standard of work and ensure only the best work gets in front of the client
  • An ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with the team, able to self-manage and prioritise tasks to ensure work is delivered on time
  • Confidence to contribute in team meetings and conversations, actively participating in client meetings and workshops
  • Skills in modern design and prototyping tools from Adobe CS to Figma, Sketch etc

Our world is forever changing so learning new tricks and experimenting with new things is part of our DNA. Think there’s something new to learn or somewhere to be? If it’s a no-brainer, we’re all ears.
