Job Description

We are looking for a creative thinker, who is keen to use their marketing expertise and passion for design, content creation and social media to help us grow our work. If you have excellent communication skills, are self-motivated and creative, have an eye for content, and can use your imagination then we’d love to hear from you.

We are a dynamic charity and social enterprise based in London working nationally and internationally that design and deliver award-winning creative learning experiences across the arts, sciences and digital technologies. We work with parents, teachers, educators, mentors and community leaders to transform the lives of 5–11 year-old beneficiaries from marginalised, refugee and underserved communities. Over 100,000 children have participated in our programmes which have featured partners like The British Council, Micro:bit Foundation, TATE and LEGO among others.

This is a very exciting time to join the Institute of Imagination (iOi) as we transition through a new period of strategic and ambitious growth and a unique opportunity to grow with us, develop your skills in a dynamic, supportive organisation and to make a difference to the education of thousands of children.

About The Role:

The Marketing and Digital Officer is a key member of our Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, you will support the strategic and campaign needs of our team growing our audiences, working with schools, community leaders and key beneficiaries. You will be our brand guardian and help build the iOi’s brand, securing local, national and international awareness through targeted campaigns. You will have significant influence on our growth and real impact across all areas of the iOi, in a role with a high degree of responsibility and lots of autonomy.

You’ll have a passion for marketing and social media trends, keeping yourself up to date with the latest industry developments, including GDPR. Ideally 3+ years previous experience including digital marketing and either a degree level qualification or equivalent, we are looking for a highly motivated team player who can also work independently. You’ll be adaptable and flexible, a creative and innovative thinker with a ‘can do’ approach. You will be able to present data and findings in a clear manner and have experience of successful marcomms campaigns to drive sales or develop audiences. Having an excellent command of written and spoken English, you will have a very high degree of attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
