Job Description

We're looking for a freelance Mid-Weight Designer to join our team, contributing to the visual identity of Bloomberg Connects, an arts and culture app. Reporting to the Senior Designer, you'll be part of a small, collaborative team crafting the marketing and brand experience - creating considered visuals across campaigns, social, editorial, and beyond.

This role is for a meticulous craftsperson, someone with a sharp eye for detail, a deep love for design, and the work ethic to match. You'll support the team in bringing concepts to life, sweating the details, and ensuring every touchpoint feels polished and purposeful. It's a great opportunity to develop your skills across a range of outputs and learn what it means to work within a strong brand.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Designing high-quality visuals across marketing, campaigns, social, editorial, and brand touchpoints
  • Contributing ideas and creative thinking at briefing stage, as well as executing with precision
  • Working within established design systems to maintain a consistent visual identity
  • Collaborating with copywriters, marketing managers, and senior designers to produce compelling work
  • Bringing a keen eye for typography, composition, and detail to every project
  • Keeping up with design and culture trends to inform your work

You’ll need to have:

  • 2-4 years of experience in design, with a portfolio showcasing brand and/or marketing work
  • Strong attention to detail and a developing aesthetic sensibility
  • Confidence working within brand guidelines while bringing your own care and craft to the work
  • Solid knowledge of Figma and Adobe CC; motion skills are a bonus
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to take feedback and iterate
  • An interest in arts and culture is a genuine plus
