About the role

Working at Applied means working in a fast-paced environment where you will get to be involved with project management on a variety of digital projects across the web and native applications. You will report to our Digital Creative Director. This role will balance effective detailed product ownership, complex project management and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Coordinate and manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, address potential risks, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external partners, including design and development
  • Ensure that all projects align with company standards and objectives
  • Collaborate with partners to obtain project estimates
  • Work across multiple digital projects
  • Managing and reporting project budgets - with clients, internally and with project partners
  • Be available to work on UK and US timezones where necessary

Product Ownership:

  • Elicit and prioritise product requirements by collaborating with stakeholders, users, and the development team
  • Define and articulate product vision and strategy with the Digital Creative Director
  • Create and maintain a product backlog
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to optimise user experience.
  • Test development outputs to ensure quality and find any bugs before release
  • Work with external development agencies to deliver project outcomes, on time and within budget

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the main point of contact for all project and product-related communications for digital projects
  • Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, run workshops and ensure product alignment with client needs
  • Present product demos and updates to both internal and external stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in wayfinding solutions
  • Foster an environment of continuous feedback and iterative development
  • Implement lessons learned from past projects to drive improvements in process and product quality

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who loves working across multiple projects, and who wants a varied day-to-day role. We work across the globe and you will sometimes need to be available outside the standard work day.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 3-5 years experience as a Project Manager / Product Owner experience, within the creative/tech industry, dealing directly with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams
  • Flexibility to travel to the London office with some foreign travel to the US for projects
  • Experience of mapping and wayfinding isn’t necessary
  • The ability to quickly earn the trust and confidence of project teams and clients at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to motivate, influence and negotiate both internally and externally
  • Experience and ability to stay productive when competing demands pull you in different directions at once
  • The ability to distil complex information into an easily understandable format
  • Experience working with teams running project programmes and budgets
  • Proficient in Excel, G suite, Mac OS, and video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Teams, Google Meet
  • The drive to work autonomously and take initiative, as well as work collaboratively with others
