Built on the foundation that health food should never be boring, Pip & Nut is a rapidly growing, award-winning nut butter brand with big ambitions; in just six years we’ve scaled to over 6000 stores nationwide with listings in high end stores like Whole Foods & Selfridges as well as Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s, ASDA & Morrisons and are the fastest growing nut butter brand in the UK. With this exciting growth we make sure it’s not to the detriment of people or planet and profit and as a result we’re proud to say we’re a certified B-corporation.

We firmly believe that things should be kept just as nature intended so there’s nothing nasty hidden inside our nut butters or snacks, just amazing nuts and a few other natural ingredients. Aside from the fact that our products stack up nutritionally, we’ve also built a serious amount of momentum & love behind our brand, with fans ranging from international athletes to top celebrities and everyone in between.

Who We’re Looking For:

We are looking for an adaptable and energetic designer with a willingness to learn. You’ll have an education or working experience in Graphic Design/Communication and a portfolio that includes design for real-word applications.

The Role:

This role is a great opportunity for a Junior Designer to gain valuable experience working across a variety design disciplines for a growing independent brand, as part of a small in-house design studio. Starting at two days a week, you must be set up as a freelancer.

The new Junior Designer for Pip & Nut will support our Creative Manager in conceptualising and executing works for a wide range of briefs. This could cover packaging, advertising, new product development, social media, direct marketing, as well as online and in-store media.

Flexibility and collaboration will be a big part of this role. The Junior Designer will need to work to briefs supplied by our Creative Manager, as well as the wider Marketing team. We also often work alongside creative agencies.

This role will be based in our London offices, on a two day a week freelance contract (to be reviewed after three months).

As collaboration is so important for this role, it is not remote. Our office is in Shoreditch, East London.

In a nutshell, you are responsible for:

• Creating on-brand assets – you will get to know the brand inside out and back to front and be able to apply this to a range of different applications. This could include slide decks, direct mail, flyers, social media posts, web banners and point of sale materials.

• Rolling out designs - Working with the Creative Manager to roll out designs across a range of assets. This could include packaging design or rolling out a visual world for a new product or campaign.

• Basic Image Editing – To continue a strong visual style across our social media and other comms.

• Being a Brand Guardian – You will be a guardian to our brand, protecting and strengthening it as we expand and helping to make sure we deliver on our commitments as a Bcorp with our visual communications

Specific knowledge, qualifications, skills & experience required:
